Modern tendencies in skincare creams

Beautiful, healthy and well-groomed skin is naturally a dream of everyone. Actually, skin is your body’s largest organ. It can tell a lot about your lifestyle, so it is like your best visit card. Skin serves as a protective barrier between your internal world and the environment, helps regulate body temperature and acts as a filter. It is your mirror, which can show even what you prefer to eat and where you live. Skin exists in a constant state of growth, with old cells dying as new cells are forming. Furthermore, healthy skin is better able to fight signs of aging, heals much faster and staves off potential disease better than unhealthy skin.

Our skin changes every day, every minute

Your skin cells are changing all the time. That means that taking care of your skin is not something you do ‘now and then’, but on a daily basis. Proper skin care is vital if you are concerned about your physical appearance. Unhealthy skin tends to appear sallow and dull, whereas healthy skin appears full and vibrant. Wrinkles develop with more ease and sink deeper if your skin is dehydrated and unhealthy, and it can result in uneven patches that have a mottled color. When skin is unhealthy, it loses elasticity, which can make it sag and appear thin.

Proper Skin Care

Proper skin care is not only about looking good; it is about staying healthy as well. Poor skin care habits can lead to rashes, sores, acne and wrinkles. Unhealthy skin is more susceptible to disease, infection and is more likely to scar after an injury. Proper care is particularly important for people who experience skin issues, such as psoriasis, or have skin allergies.

Proper skin care means cleansing it properly. Skin needs moisture to survive, so avoid using hot water when you wash your face, as the heat sucks moisture from your skin. Try using warm or cool water instead. Also, avoid harsh or chemical-heavy soaps, as they strip moisture from your skin while polluting it. Keep your skin moisturized by applying lotion within a few minutes of bathing. If you have a problem with dry skin, use an oil-based lotion on the problem area several times a day.

So how make your skin care correct? First of all, you should:

  • Cleanse: You can use a cleanser product: foam or gel for washing, or simply use water as a lot of dermatologist prescribe. Products make sense for people with extra sensitive skin.
  • Apply toner: it will remove all leftover residue after cleansing. Try to see if this works for you.
  • Moisturize: Your skin loses moisture throughout the day. For the skin to be able to ‘repair’ itself, and at the same time look healthy, moisture is needed. Try different products based on your skin type to see what works best for you.

Keeping Skin Healthy

Skin is constantly growing and changing, so you have to remain vigilant in caring for it. Keep your skin hydrated by drinking plenty of water throughout the day, and maintain a balanced diet to provide the vitamins and minerals your skin needs. Stick with fresh fruits and vegetables, greens and products, which have a lot of protein and other useful micronutrients and amino acids. Always make sure to use sunblock if you are going to spend time outside.

How your skin will look in ten or twenty years, depends on the way you care for it now. When we age, the skin will start to show signs of that as well. That means wrinkles, lines, and other things you might not look forward to. So make sure to take good care, but also to not use skin care products that might do more bad than good. Use products that are made for your skin type, and never use anything too aggressive.
